The Secret Behind Yoga Asanas Revealed

How to Grow Faster and Easier by Raising Your Life-Force Quickly

Now I give the explanation of yoga and its practice.

(Sutra 1.1 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

Yoga, Asanas, and the Unspoken Truths

In the growing landscape of Western yoga, Hatha Yoga, with its focus on physical postures or 'asanas,' is increasingly popular. Yoga studios are proliferating, and when we talk about 'yoga,' we often mean 'Hatha Yoga,' known for its asanas.

Focusing on practicing the Asanas brings benefits, that is beyond any doubt. But given the competition that has arisen to practice the asanas even more perfectly, the real purpose of yoga is lost.

Indeed, yoga transcends the mere physicality of Hatha Yoga, delving into a vast spiritual-philosophical framework aimed at attaining complete inner freedom, enlightenment, or oneness with the divine — an experience beyond the limitations of language.

Yes, that's right! The word yoga does not stand for Hatha Yoga, not for Asanas, but is the name for a huge spiritual-philosophical thought structure that tries to describe how man finds complete inner freedom, enlightenment, nirvana, or oneness with God. All these are only terms for something that can hardly be described with words.

And thus the Asanas of Hatha Yoga are a grain of sand on a beach. This grain of sand of the Asanas can be sold and marketed well- fancy clothes, yoga mats, the flair of a lifestyle that aims at balance between tension and relaxation. The largest English-language yoga channel, "Yoga with Adriene", has 12.2 million followers - all without addressing what yoga is really about, but with a pure focus on the grain of sand of the Asanas. All this has nothing to do with the original meaning of yoga.

When we talk about the goal of yoga, we must also talk about the fact that there is a central force in man that brings him closer to this goal. The life force, or in its dynamic state called Kundalini force. This force is guiding individuals towards their ultimate liberation.

Hardly any yoga teacher talks about this, and even in the sea of Kundalini yoga teachers, with extremely few exceptions, one finds only theorists. This would be comparable to getting into a car with a driving instructor who has never driven a car himself.

And so the question remains for you, dear reader: Will you settle for surface-level practices, or would you rather penetrate into the heart of the rabbit hole? Do you want to learn what almost no one tells you? Learn the secrets that even your yoga teacher doesn't know?

When focusing on yoga asanas you miss the real goal of yoga - enlightment

The skill of yoga is demonstrated by the conscious non-operation of the vibrational modes of the mento-emotional energy.

(Sutra 1.2 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

The Yoga Asana Illusion

The world of yoga is all about Asanas - that's the generally accepted opinion. And if you ask yoga practitioners, you'll hear words like relaxation and flexibility. But is that really what it's all about?

Because this is already the first illusion in the context of yoga: the Asanas would serve to make the body more flexible, and to promote relaxation. Would you like an example?

Almost everyone knows the Asana of the fish - an overextension of the chest backwards while lying down. On the European website of Sivananda Yoga you can find the following text: "Fish- While practicing this yoga asana, you breathe deeply and thereby improve your lung capacity. This can improve many breathing problems. This yoga pose also stimulates the thyroid gland and brings flexibility to the upper back."

Of course - these are the consequences of pracitizing this Asana from our Western point of view, focusing on the body and it's physiology. But there is something quite different behind the practice of each Asana - something that even many yoga teachers today are not aware of.

All the Asanas that are practiced today within the framework of various Hatha Yoga directions have the task of activating the flow of energy in the body and especially in the spine.

According to yoga philosophy, each person has 7 main energy centers along the spine, called "chakras". When all these chakras are functioning smoothly, the life force flows effortlessly from the base of the spine into the head, and the person becomes enlightened.

But old experiences on this or past incarnations block this flow of life force. And this is exactly what the various Asanas are for in truth - to stimulate the life force to work on these blockages and eventually remove them.

In fact, this works - in theory. In India, there are people who practice various Asanas for several hours a day for years or decades, and finally reach enlightenment. But who can do this in our western world? Anyone who invests 1 hour of yoga per day already belongs to an extremely rare species. It is an arduous path that requires enormous perseverance until enlightenment is finally attained.

You may say: I don't even know if I am striving for enlightenment. So let's examine the subject of "enlightenment" more closely.

Yoga asanas and the truth about enlightment

The Supreme Lord is that special person

who is not affected by troubles, actions, developments

or by subconscious motivations..

(Sutra 1.24 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

The Truth About Enlightment

Enlightenment is an experience that cannot be described with words. And in fact this statement is nothing extraordinary - this is true for every experience! For example, if I were to describe to you the taste of a durian (an Asian stink fruit), and you had never eaten this fruit - do you think that would be crowned with success? Of course not!

And yet, of course, we can get close. For example, we can look at what qualities enlightened people live. And from our own similar, though almost always "smaller" experiences, we can draw conclusions about their experience.

Enlightenment means, for example, that you have received your clairvoyance back. In yoga philosophy speak, these are part of the "siddhis" (superhuman abilities) that are warned against. The warning refers to not being attached to them, not to the abilities themselves. And if you think carefully, you will surely remember that sometimes you also know in advance who will contact you soon, or that an inner voice warns you not to act in a certain way.

So it is nothing completely new or totally unknown, but something that is part of human nature.

Another important - maybe even the central - aspect of enlightenment, oneness with God, is also known to almost all people in a weakened form.

Since God is described as omnipresent, for example, the feeling of oneness with another person in the stage of infatuation is a tiny foretaste of the unlimited oneness experience of complete enlightenment.

And so I ask you again: Do you want to get back your clairvoyances and thus no longer make wrong decisions? Do you want to feel the unconditional divine love all the time? Do you want to come into your full power? Do you want to live inner peace and inner freedom?

I think you have said "yes" at least once. And so you are ready to learn the truth behind the Asanas - and to realize how you can use this knowledge to get closer to the fulfillment of all these questions in less time than you ever thought possible.

Yoga Asana fakes, what should happen voluntarily

"Fake it Till You Make it"- Make What?

We have seen that the whole context in which the system of Asanas is placed does not correspond to what the Asanas were originally intended for. And we have learned that it is really about the life force and its liberating effect in the process of Hatha Yoga and all its Asanas.

And we have seen that the Asanas work. But do you really have decades of time in which you practice your Asanas for hours and hours every day? And don't you lose the desire all too soon, when the desired results, to which I asked you some questions above, which occur as "concomitants" of enlightenment, do not increase perceptibly?

Therefore - let's consider something that is not conceivable for many. You can drastically increase your life force in a very short time. In fact, life force can increase in remarkable leaps - and without daily practice!

The central element to this is something you do all the time anyway: your breath. Yes, I know, yoga philosophy knows this too. Pranayama is the key word for this. Prana is the Indian term for the life force.

And just as there are countless Asanas, there are equally countless pranayama exercises. As with the Asanas, pranayama is about precisely defined sequences, that is, about control and "perfection".

However, my worldwide travels as a filmmaker have revealed something surprising - a secret that hardly anyone knows: it is the letting go of control that makes the most amazing things possible. More development in less time. More getting free of everything that weighs you down. More return to your true, divine being.

Let's take a closer look at how and why exactly this combination - a certain breathing aspect and letting go of control over your body as much as possible - can bring about such amazing results in such a short time.

Yoga asanas can unblock your Kundalini, while there are quicker methods

That highest non-interest occurs when there is freedom

from desire for the features of material nature

and thorough awareness of the spiritual person.

(Sutra 1.16 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

How To Feel What Hinders You

In our journey towards enlightenment and inner freedom, it is crucial to identify and understand the obstacles that stand in our way. These hindrances are mainly emotional and physical, but we often think they are mental, because in this way we prevent ourselves from painful feeling.

This often manifests as blockages in the flow of life force through our bodies. To truly progress on our spiritual path, we must learn to feel and acknowledge these blockages, for only then can we begin to release them.

Especially for people practicing yoga asanas, there is a strong focus on controlling the body. To feel the blockages, it can be extremely helpful to do exactly the opposite: let go of controlling the body.

This, combined with deep breathing that goes down to the belly, increases the ability to feel.

Picture a newborn baby; its breath goes all the way down to the belly. Now observe how most people breathe: Their breath is hardly enough to survive.

That's because they have experienced traumatic events, and with each event, they reduced the depth of their breathing, which prevented them from feeling the trauma in its full extent.

To reverse this effect, we have to consciously let go of the control of our bodies and consciously breathe deeply and intensely.

By doing so, old negative experiences might resurface. Don't be afraid of them. I assure you that you are stronger than anything you have ever experienced. The proof is very simple: Despite all the humiliation, pain, injuries, and insults, you are still here.

What does that mean? You are much stronger than you believe! So you can trustfully dive into this simple technique: consciously let go of the control of your body and consciously breathe deeply and intensely for some time.

You might feel fear, you might encounter pain, you might cry or cough, but your soul prevents you from feeling too much, which you can’t handle. You just get what you are able to digest emotionally.

And through the intense breathing, you create the leeway to handle it. Instead of barely surviving with no leeway to free yourself from the burden of past traumas, you put yourself in a powerful state, which allows you to come to peace with old negative experiences.

Sounds too good to be true? The truth is that nobody wants you to know how simple it can be. Much simpler than traditional psychological methods tell you (and there might be a reason for that... ).

Yoga Asana, Mudras and Kriyas happen as a result of an inner process

On being established in realism,

his actions serve as a basis for results.

(Sutra 2.36 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

Asanas, Kriyas And Mudras – Hidden Secrets

In the vast and intricate world of yoga, the practices of asanas, kriyas, and mudras hold profound significance. While many practitioners focus on the physical benefits and the aesthetic appeal of these practices, there is a deeper, often overlooked aspect that reveals their true power.

Asanas: Mirroring Spontaneous Movements

Asanas, the physical postures of yoga, are not merely exercises designed to improve flexibility and strength. They are, in fact,
precise movements that mirror the spontaneous actions of individuals experiencing a rapid increase in their life force or the awakening of their Kundalini energy.

When a person undergoes a sudden surge in life force or a Kundalini awakening, their body often moves in ways that are strikingly similar to the postures we practice in yoga. These movements are not consciously controlled; they are the
body's natural response to the influx of energy. The asanas we perform in yoga are, therefore, not arbitrary; they are designed to mimic these natural, energy-driven movements.

By practicing asanas, we are essentially preparing our bodies to handle and channel the increased flow of life force. Each posture is a key that unlocks specific energy pathways, allowing the life force to move more freely through our bodies. This is why asanas can be so transformative; they are not just physical exercises, but
energetic practices that align us with the natural flow of our life force.

Kriyas: The Outer Expression of Inner States

Kriyas, which are purification techniques or actions that accompany the practice of yoga, are another crucial aspect of this hidden wisdom. These practices, which can include breathing exercises, cleansing techniques, and specific movements, are not just physical actions; they are the
outer expression of states of consciousness.

When we perform kriyas, we are not just cleansing our bodies; we are aligning our physical, emotional, and mental states with the higher vibrations of our spiritual selves. Each kriya is a bridge that connects our outer actions with our inner experiences, helping to purify and elevate our consciousness.

Mudras: The Language of the Soul

Mudras, or hand gestures, are yet another powerful tool in the yoga practitioner's arsenal. These seemingly simple gestures are not just symbolic; they are the language of the soul,
expressing and channeling specific energies and states of consciousness.

Each mudra is a precise configuration of the hands and fingers that activates specific energy pathways in the body. By practicing mudras, we can direct the flow of life force to different parts of our bodies and minds, facilitating healing, balance, and spiritual growth.

For instance, the Gyan Mudra, where the thumb and index finger touch, is said to enhance knowledge and wisdom. The Prana Mudra, where the thumb touches the ring and little fingers, is believed to increase vitality and life force. These mudras are not just physical gestures; they are energetic tools that help us align with the higher vibrations of our spiritual selves.

Asanas, kriyas, and mudras are not just physical practices; they are the outer expressions of inner states of consciousness and energy. By practicing these techniques, we are
aligning ourselves with the natural flow of our life force, preparing our bodies and minds for the profound transformations that come with spiritual growth.

Understanding the hidden secrets behind these practices can deepen our yoga journey, helping us to move beyond the physical and into the realm of the spiritual. As we embrace the true power of asanas, kriyas, and mudras, we open ourselves to the limitless potential of our own life force and the divine wisdom that lies within.

Kundalini is the name for the life force when it reached it´s dynamic state.Yoga Asanasa are one possibility to gain that.

Samadhi is the state where the mind becomes absorbed

in the object of meditation,

appearing as if empty of its own nature,

reflecting only the essence of the object.

(Sutra 3.3 from the yoga sutras of Patanjali)

Kundalini Or When Your Life Force Becomes Dynamic

The concept of Kundalini often evokes a sense of mystery and awe. However, understanding the distinction between a significantly increased life force and Kundalini energy can demystify this powerful phenomenon and provide a clearer path to harnessing its benefits.

Understanding Life Force

Life force, often referred to as prana in yoga philosophy, is the vital energy that sustains all living beings. It is
the essence that animates our bodies and minds, enabling us to think, feel, and act. When our life force is strong and flowing freely, we experience increased vitality, mental clarity, and emotional well-being.

Through practices such as yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, we can enhance our life force over time. This increased energy can lead to a heightened sense of awareness, improved physical health, and a greater capacity to handle life's challenges. However, this elevated state of life force is still within the realm of our ordinary experience, albeit at a higher level.

The Awakening of Kundalini

Kundalini, on the other hand, represents a dynamic and transformative aspect of our life force. Often described as a coiled serpent lying dormant at the base of the spine, Kundalini energy is said to awaken and rise through the body, activating the chakras and leading to profound spiritual experiences.

The awakening of Kundalini is a natural process, similar to the birth of a child. Just as a newborn's arrival marks a significant transition, the awakening of Kundalini signifies a profound shift in one's spiritual journey.

When Kundalini energy is activated, it cleanses and purifies the individual on both physical and psychological levels. This process can be intense as old patterns, traumas, and blockages are released, but it is essential for moving forward on the path to enlightenment and inner freedom.

The Difference Between Increased Life Force and Kundalini

When you learn to raise your life force quickly in a very short time, you may see all the visible effects described in the last chapter: spontaneous asanas, kriyas, and mudras. The same happens when your life force decides to become dynamic – turning into the Kundalini.

The difference is that with the "birth" of the Kundalini, this powerful force lives in your body and cleanses you on "autopilot." While – even with a very drastically raised level of life force – you have to practice something to create more gains in your life, with Kundalini this all changes: It is the never-stopping force, activating itself whenever you need it or whenever its innate wisdom decides to help you cleanse and grow in this or that aspect. So you could say that Kundalini is out of the control of your mind or personal preferences.

Dangerous and Safe Kundalini Awakening

So immediately the question arises: Do I want this? Am I ready to let a force within my body handle my spiritual progress?

But in my experience, this is the wrong question. The right question would be: Is it safe?

Therefore, we have to look at the dangers of a Kundalini awakening. When it happens, you gain back your clairvoyance. Not everything in one single moment, but it increases at a speed much faster than before. And with your increased clairvoyance, you experience what lies closest to you: your own soul. This includes experiences from past lives – some of which might be very traumatic.

In case there are such traumatic experiences that you have not made peace with, and your increased clairvoyance enables you to recognize them too intensely, this could be re-traumatizing. This can sometimes be so severe that you need support from a psychiatrist.

Therefore, a Kundalini awakening should never be aimed for because your ego wants it. I have been leading seminars for over 10 years, with hundreds of participants, and have never had this negative effect on any of my participants.

The reason lies in the fact that I don’t focus on awakening the Kundalini (despite the fact that it happens quite often in this seminars). I focus on leading the participants into an extremely high state of consciousness, close to enlightenment, which results in an intense connection with their own soul. In this state of consciousness, comparable to the consciousness of holy people, they are able to make peace with old traumatic experiences with ease.

So they cleanse their soul more and more, and then comes the moment when their soul decides to awaken the Kundalini in their body and personality. That’s the safe way of awakening the Kundalini.
